The Massage Therapists at SpruceWind are experienced and well trained, several have National Certification. Massage sessions are available 7 days a week by appointment. Please plan on scheduling your appointment at least one day in advance. Scheduling and contact information for each therapist is listed below. In addition to Massage Therapists we now have a therapist specializing in grief, loss, and life transitions. We are also pleased to be in association with a certified Rolfer.

Laurie Walton

Laurie is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB) and has been practicing Massage Therapy in Fairbanks since 1997. Her training includes classes in Muscle Release Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, and Healing Touch. She is also a certified Infant Massage Instructor through IAIM and has completed training for Alchemical Hypnotherapy from Heartwood Institute. Laurie is excited to incorporate her recent training in Acutonics to her practice. This powerful modality uses sound to deeply relax and release stress and tension from the body. Fawn Peterson

Fawn has provided massage therapy in several settings in Fairbanks including chiropractic offices and spa settings since 2002. When working with clients, Fawn is careful to listen to the clients needs. It is important to her to make sure her clients feel nurtured,safe and well cared for during the massage. She incorporates hot stone massage, essential oil therapy (including Rain Drop), prenatal massage, Integrative Shiatsu (Swedish and Shiatsu),and Trigger Point Therapy into her sessions. She recently completed and introductory Hands of Light workshop and is eager to integrate that into her massage treatments. Chery Van Der Horn

Chery is a certified Rolfer. Rolf Structural Integration improves the body's relationship with gravity. It can decrease stress, improve posture, increase energy, and relieve pain from repetitive stress injuries. Chery's schedule is variable. You can reach her at 907-750-0022.

Sally Fenno

Sally is a counselor providing support and guidance for those dealing with grief and those striving for personal growth. She specializes in helping people maintain balance as they recover and heal from significant loss. She also works with those experiencing changes in consciousness to evaluate choices, become aware of limiting patterns, and explore alternatives. Sally developed and maintained the bereavement program of the Hospice of the Tananna Valley for over 16 years. She has also studied intuitive and alternative healing methods in a variety of settings. Paula Earp

Paula has been a nationally certified massage therapist(NCTMB) since 2004. She is a Certified Advanced Myofascial Therapist and a Level I Craniosacral Therapist. Her training and years of practicing Swedish massage, deep tissue therapies, pregnancy massage and geriatric massage round out her skills to help a wide range of clients. Since 2012 Paula has been working at the Holistic Medical Clinic. She was a massage therapist at the Alaska Club - Fairbanks for 4 years, owned and operated Interior Bodyworks out of the Student Rec. Center at UAF and worked for Denali PT and Massage in Denali Park for several seasons. Paula has lived in Alaska since 1992. The beauty and adventures of Alaska has been a big part of her life. Now she enjoys those experiences with her husband and two kids. Whenever she finds the time Paula enjoys running, biking, martial arts and guitar. 907-388-6078

Theodora Boggess

Theodora has been practicing as a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist since 2010. Though she was born and raised in Fairbanks, she attended massage school and had been practicing in Flagstaff, AZ. Since finding her way back home to the Golden Heart City, she is excited to establish her practice focusing on women’s wellness through massage. Theodora has been trained in a variety of techniques including sports massage, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, relaxation, and pre and postnatal massage. Russell Walker

Injuries first brought Russell to study human movement. Russell holds a degree in Kinesiology from Oregon State University and uses the Feldenkrais® Method to improve posture, movement, and well-being. As a Feldenkrais® Practitioner, he enjoys sharing ways to move more comfortably and easily with others. Russell is available through on line scheduling.
